The cast and crew were ushered by bdoyguards inside the theatre for precaution. I think this film has had bad luck, but when it concernes reviews, definitely not ;)

"A newspaper here voted me one of the scruffiest people in Britain," Knightley says after ordering a croissant. "I'm quite proud of that. It's completely true. Most of my stuff is still packed in suitcases because I'm in between shoots right now, and everything is so crushed I can't wear any of it. I'm not one of these people who says, 'Oh no, I can't wear that because I wore it yesterday.' If it doesn't smell, it's fine." ... Keira Knightley

Love: "It's nice to feel wanted, like you're being chased. It's hard to have a relationship when I'm working so much, though. But then you have to think, What is actually important in life? Is career your only thing? If it is, then it's easy, but if it isn't, that's sad, because there's going to come a day when you're left lonely. It's a difficult compromise. I think you've got to strive for balance. It's the striving that counts. If you're someone like me, who has always been very driven, to suddenly step back and decide, 'Well, love is the only thing,' then you need to build up your relationships."

Leading Men: "On-screen these days, you rarely see a big, strong man -- you see slender, androgynous-looking boys. I've worked with very few people whom I feel small against. The most manly thing ever is a guy who can cry, who's in touch with himself. I could never have an affair with any of my leading men, though. They always turn into brothers. I'm a classic turn-them-into-brothers kind of girl."

Fear: "Oh, God -- I fear everything. New characters, new parts, first days of filming and premieres always terrify the life out of me. And horses. Small things terrify me: If I go out, I never know what to say. I always feel self-conscious. I'm shit at socializing, and also dealing with crowds. I don't like to stand around and pretend I'm a lady."

Insecurity: "Look that up in the dictionary: 'For insecurity, see Keira Knightley.' Constant insecurity. I have insecurities about the way I look, the way I act, not being a good friend...like when I'm away and don't keep in touch. I'm not good with phones, and I don't have email -- I can't use a computer -- so not being in touch is completely my fault. I woke up one morning recently and realized I hadn't spoken to my best friend for a month and a half. She had split up with her previous boyfriend and already gotten another one, and I didn't know about any of it."

Childhood: "Dollhouses were a big thing in my childhood. I was always making up stories, playing with them for hours. I guess that's why I'm an actress: I never stopped wanting to play. I even had a Pride and Prejudice dollhouse that had little porcelain girls living in it, and that was my favorite. The one scruffy girl was sometimes Jo from Little Women and sometimes Lizzie Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, depending on my mood."

School: "School was interesting because I always wanted to act, but if my grades dropped, I wasn't allowed to. It was hard to focus on being there. It was hard to make the effort to fit in. I mean, in many ways I did fit in -- I had a great group of friends, and I'm still friends with a lot of them now, but part of me didn't fit in. I had dyslexia, but by the time I was in secondary school, it was pretty much a thing of the past."

Triumph: "Triumph was getting a good grade in math, because I always found it so hard. A good grade in English or spelling was a huge triumph. You can never measure your triumphs against anybody else's -- they've got to be personal ones. And triumph can be simple, like the bloody good roast potatoes I made the other night when my friends came over. My biggest triumph yet was getting my part in The Jacket, because the director originally said he didn't want me."

Outrage: "Rudeness outrages me, professionally and personally. Things on a bigger scale going on in the world also constantly outrage me -- turn on the news to see. But small things outrage me, too, like seeing a group of kids picking on one kid. I'm constantly outraged and constantly doing very little about it, which is actually an outrage in itself."

Life goals: "Happiness is my life goal. 'Keep on learning' is a good goal. Never get stagnant."

Frustration: "Fear frustrates me, and it also drives me. More than anything, I get frustrated with myself."

Body love/hate: "I like so many other people's bodies. I like legs -- I don't like my legs. I hate my legs. I like my stomach, but it's really annoying because apparently, now, you're not allowed to show your stomach, because it's considered vulgar and fashion magazines say you can't anymore. But I don't have any tits, so I can't show cleavage. Maybe I'm body dysmorphic. What am I going to show? The only part I really like is my stomach."

Exercise: "The only thing I do is sit in front of the TV and do tons of situps. It's easy for me. I'm supposed to do squats, but I don't like those. I don't like running, either. I tried yoga for the first time when I was doing Pirates, but I got quite frustrated with it because of all that breathing. It stresses me out; it doesn't relax me."

Food: "I'm a big foodie. In my family life, all good things revolve around the dinner table. My mum's cooking is great. We have big dinners, and big everything. There's nothing like a really good chip [French fry], a really crunchy, good chip. And I love pasta. I make Bolognese with tons and tons of Parmesan cheese. The other night, a friend was teaching me how to make an eggplant bake. I brought it out of the oven in this beautiful bowl -- and dropped it. It smashed all over the kitchen, and I burst into tears! But 10 minutes later we were laughing about it. I mean, if I were Nigella Lawson, I would have licked it off the floor very seductively as opposed to bursting into tears."

Keira recorded a TV commerical for charity "WomensAid", to highlight domestic abuse among women. The vid was directed by Joe Wright, and it shows Keira being abussed by boyfriend.

She has said: “Domestic violence kills two women every week but we rarely hear about it.”

It's a very good cut, and you can see that in Keira's expression.Now, going to the acting part, I believe Joe brings out the best of Kei,.. so that's it you guys.

You just signed on to star in "Never Let Me Go", which sounds like sci-fi but isn't, right?

'It's not really sci-fi. It's based on a book. It's a great book by [Kazuo] Ishiguro, who wrote 'The Remains of the Day.' It's a really, really beautiful book. I mean, it's strange and it's quietly odd and rather creepy and unnerving. But it's not a sci-fi. It's more or less sort of based in the now, but in a now maybe slightly parallel to the one we live in'.

So even though it's got the whole cloning for the purpose of organ harvesting premise, it won't be anything like Michael Bay's 'The Island'?'

'No. [laughs]. ['The Island'] is a lot of fun, but it's not. I haven't really figured out how to sum it up in a nutshell. It's a really interesting book that raises a lot of questions about morality, people, relationships and growing old. It's so difficult to explain. I'm going to have to try to do it and then figure out something to say about it. It's going to be really, really good. I'm really excited about it. It's such a weird subject matter. I think it's going to be a really unique film'.

The Edge of Love (2008)-.

Ok, so I finally watched "The Edge of Love" and I absolutely loooooooved it! The plot is awesome, meaning mom Shar did an awesome job, truly! Keira's character Vera was so cute, lovable and elegant. She has an amazing voice! wow! I can't believe she doesn't think so, Kei herself said that she doesn't want to be in any other movie where she has to perform live! but omg, her acting was great, though I believe that lately in "The Duchess" she explots all her talent. The film was stolen by Sienna Miller! and I can't believe I say this but she was terrific and the best in the film. I even like her thanks to her character Caitlin. Cillian Murphy, so charming and amazing,! no one could've been better than him and Matthew Rhys, that I only have seen him here, he's an espectacular actor. A very great Dylan Thomas!

I adored the film, Congrats to John Maybury for directing it and again, Sharman McDonald, for writing this touching and gorgeous script, where you can feel the real meaning of friendship, as pure.! Nothing erotic as many people said. (bath scene between Kei and Sienna). That's it!

Keira's staring a new shortfilm and this proyect is in post-production. Believe it or not.
It was filmed on March-April 2008. The shortfilm is called The Continuing And Lamentable Saga Of The Suicide Brothers.

It's written by Rupert Friend and Tom Mison. Keira's role is The Fairy Godmother. It's directed by The Brownlee Brothers.

Plot ~ Everyday at two o'clock the two brothers named Bourbon and Barath (played by Rupert and Tom) go out to the shed to kill themselves. They try a different method everyday but each day they fail. They are forever overlooking the presence of their frustrated fairy godmother as they carry on with their clockwork routine.

I finally watched "The Duchess" and absolutely adored it ! ♥ It's been one amazing acting of Keira that its believable as a strong woman, from a little child to a grown one that has to face all the problems in her life. she Fights for her marriage, her love, her childrens and beyond.! I loved the film, it's well done and frankly is really worth to watch.! It mostly shows what Georgiana has to go through, and it does it well. Ralph Fiennes (♥), he's really amazing! The best one in the movie, next its Keira and Hayley Atwell. Also, Dominic Cooper! aww! sweet.

Anyway! Hope you guys see it ! It has a powerful Keira has acts very well doing a 17 year old girl to a 27 year old woman. Nice. No more words! :) Here are some scenes that I really enjoyed!

Keira attended The British Independent Film Awards on November 30th holding hands with her pal and co-star in "The Edge of Love". K was nominated to Best Actress for The Duchess but she lost against Vera Farmiga. The Duchess didn't win at any category it had (Secundary Actor & Actress, Costume), so I guess it wasn't a good night, mostly because the aweful outfit Keira choose to attend on Sunday. This has been the worst outfit that I've seen on Keira, I don't know what she was thinking, but she looked ... mmm ok. I don't even know the designer of this. :( Sienna looked like better in her way. I'm very dissapointed so I'm waiting for another event to see her shine as she use to!! Hair-Makeup-shoes. Lovely.

'I know I'm very lucky but sometimes the intrusion is a very predatory force. When you are leaving your front door and paparazzi who are a lot bigger than you are shouting, "You're a whore" to try and make you cry- that obviously is not great'

'It's not good for any actor when your life becomes the story because, in your acting work, you are trying to tell a different story. New Candids / New Movie?

There are rumours of Keira to star in a new film! She would be the one to play Cordelia in a film version of Shakespeare's King Lear. The project was announced at the Cannes Film Festival.

Anthony Hopkins will play the King while Gwyneth Paltrow will play Keira's sister, Regan. The role of the third sister is yet to be cast.

The film will feature with epic battle scenes just like '300'- and Joshua Michael Stern has adapted the screenplay while Alison Owen of Ruby Films is in talks to produce.
This sounds interesting, but there's nothing confirmed yet.-

OMG the Edge of Love trailer is finally out and I absolutely loved it :) ! the actings and the film look amazing (including Sienna) and I think this Keira's role will be a great one also. The trailer is terrific man! you have to watch it. Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys, wow! awesome hahaha Keira can be so lucky sometimes....

Now some of you might think it's a little bit like Atonement, I mean it is, The film goes through the same ages and it's the Second World War too and stuff, but there's one scene where Keira says "come back to me" just like she said so many times to James McAvoy's character, Robbie in Atonement. Well, Keira commented about it in the Observer Film Quarterly Magazine Interview that I was showing you days ago:

"I realized only when I was watching a rough cut with Shar (Shar is what she calls her mother) that we saw that scene and we thought, 'Oh shit, that's a double up'. Even though though I'm only 23, I've found that you can easily reach a certain level of regurgitation. That's when you step back and think, whoah, I need some different experiences. I never want to turn in the same perfomance, although I know that with some stars, that's what it's all about, creating some kind of product so that audiences will know what they're going to get each time. That might make good business sense, but I don't want to do it. I want to explore different characters- If that's the difference between being an actress and a movie star, well I definitely want to be an actress, thank you very much"

[Gloss] It seems that you do not have much time left ...

[Keira] My life goes well crazy! But it is extraordinary. Although I have not gone to university, I've met many interesting and talented people. I've continue reading a lot. So, despite living in sets of filming think I am learning more about the world and about myself.

[G] It was more smart after being so long away from home?

I hope so! (Laughs) Sometimes, I am still a disaster. But I am gradually learning to try to be more relaxed and less anxious with things. It is almost a personal project of evolution! (Laughs)

[G] You never go to parties, until the day raiar?

I need a sleep before! (Laughs). I am not very party girl, no ... I prefer an intimate dinner with friends, in which to talk of truth. Never understood right people are very party lover. . I prefer to go to a barbecue or a free fair from London to go to a club. Those are things that leave me most happy. Only my friends know that, but I do a roast chicken very bad! (Laughs).

[G] As we know that there are young women who identify with you?
I think we all have moments in life where we want to be someone else. That is, incidentally, one of the reasons why become an actress. Whenever worship those displaying noble qualities or whose strength and determination would like to emulate. And I also live seeking inspiration in characters that I saw in films or in extraordinary people I met in my work.

[G] Many people are comparing you with Audrey Hepburn. You try to follow her steps ?

No, not! I do not want to imitate anyone. I do not see any reason for that. Humans are imperfect, and the celebrities are false idols. I do not want to have the career of others. I am happy doing things on my own. But, of course, I have my favorite actresses. I am a fan of Katharine Hepburn! She was all edges. I love her acting. I love her strength. I love that she was not beautiful.

[G] You are very new, but you've done a lot. It is much pressure?
Nothing! I feel very happy to have so many opportunities in the cinema when you're not expecting more than a career in the theatre. Being part of the series Pirates of the Caribbean was extraordinary because reaching an audience too big and then achieve other roles. So, I feel almost guilty for having been able to work so much when there are so many talented actors fighting to find good roles. Well, perhaps not guilty as well. But certainly very, very lucky!

[G] Your role in Atonement is perhaps the most serious that you have tried.

I know I wasn´t ready to act in this movie two or three years ago. It was the most difficult psychological journey that I had to do to get close to a role. It is a kind of film that requires a lot of resources emotional, which tests the commitment to the profession. And the story is very moving. I did cry of a lot!.

[G] You are very freckuently chased by questions about your weight. Is that bad ?

Very! There is nothing good to point the finger at someone and say that is sick! To acused a person by any disturbances food provides a disrespectful to people with disorders. I hate all these stories about my weight and how I am "so skinny." I am thin anyway and I'm fine, and I hope that people accept my word on that. I think that women should strive to be healthy and in shape and not to worry with the weight itself. They should not be feeling pressured by that society or the latest trend of fashion you are saying.

[G] You made a film with Sienna Miller. What can you say about the scene of sex that everybody is waiting to see?

All this is much exaggerated (Laughs). A few erotic moments, as one might expect, but the story is much more romantic and engaging than that. It is a very sensual and beautifu filml. I love working with Sienna and we had so much fun on the set. Even in Pirates ... I tended to be alone much of the time because Johnny [Depp] was with Vanessa [Paradis], and their children, and Orlando [Bloom] was with his friends (Laughs). So this film was a distraction. I love making a familiar relation with Sienna. I felt that I could talk to her about all that comes with our profession. She has gone through a lot and it was great.

[G] You are the new face of Chanel. That image is very retouched on the photos of advertising?

No added curves to my body, I think, unless you have seen something that I have not seen. But the photos will always present it with the best possible lighting - is why I spent hours to acertarem the light. These photos are fiction on many levels. One person does the makeup, hair, the clothes are not his, everything is cordinated ... Supposedly to present a fantasy. I would like to have this look all the time. I've been saved in premieres of films by artists from wonderful makeup that make my skin appear much better. Everything is part of the world of make-believe movie!

[G] With your beauty, it is very difficult to remain outside the spotlight?

Thank you! (Laughs) You now were kind (Laughs)! I honestly try not shake me a lot with my appearance. I do not think that the road to happiness is: "Aaaah, I am pretty today." I think you just have to be what and who you are.

The film will open the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 18th, Variety announced today, adding that Keira and the other members of the cast are expected to attend.

It also says the June 20th UK release will be London only, with nationwide release on the 27th.

There's finally a new still of Keira in her up-comming film, The Edge of Love (2008).

We can see Keira singing and that's because she's going to be involved in the soundtrack of the movie, including her opening number ‘Blue Tahitian Moon’, as well as renditions of ‘Maybe It’s Because I Love You Too Much’ and ‘Drifting And Dreaming’.

Keira confessed she did not have much confidence in her singing ability. She said:

“I can’t really sing. I had to have a few lessons, but once I started doing it, a sound emerged that wasn’t too disagreeable.”

I Finally watched Atonement. And I think it was a film so well done! The love story reachs your heart (at least my heart lol!) in a way you can't even explain. I read the book through the web and I say the movie it's faithful to it. But what I really have to remark here is Keira's acting; she was amazing! I think she totally deserved all the good reviews she received and even more! We can see a totally more mature perfomance, and an incredible and sometimes spoiled and mean Cecilia Tallis. It's a very different role from Lizzie Bennett in Pride & Prejudice. And choosing between these two characters I'd have to say that Cecilia really surprised me in a particulary moment where she says hello to his brother. I could never forget how cold and distant her behavior was with a servant. And for that scene, that face, that thing that I felt when I saw Keira on the screen, I prefer Cecilia. Even though I liked a little bit more Joe Wright's Pride&Prejudice, I absolutely loved Atonement. Yes. I did :) And I'm happy now. lol!

*Romola Garai, Saoirse Ronan, JAMES MCAVOY and Vanessa Redgrave were all awesome! I'm so satisfied with the film, it was totally worth waiting.

Probably you all know this so far. Keira didn't get an Academy Award Nomination, nor James McAvoy nor Joe Wright. Saoirse Ronan got her nomination for Best Supporting Actress, and that's so good. Keira on the things written about her in years past including anorexia and breaking the heart of her ex-boyfriend, model Jamie Dornan: “It’s like having piles of s— put on your head. As a teenager you put enough on yourself. You’re a spotty emotional wreck whose body is changing, and you’re just not equipped to deal with that sort of thing.”

James (half kidding) on feeling a bit more pressure acting. “I won’t lie and say that I’m completely unfazed by it all. I am fazed by it all. I want the movie to do really well, and I want it to win lots of Oscars and BAFTAs, and I want it to win the adulation of every single member of the human race. But at the same time I would hate to think that any of us should feel any less proud simply because it didn’t garner lots of awards. So it’s a strange conflict. There’s a part of me that wants to forget all of these things, and there’s a part of me that can’t.”

Keira on growing up fast for her acting career, but not in real-life: “From a very young age I realized that you didn’t get parts if you acted like a child. So even at seven I remember picking a way to behave, a way that worked. Though in my personal life I don’t think I’m particularly mature. I don’t particularly want to be mature! [My London apartment] always looked very transient. We were sitting on folding chairs.”

James on working with Keira: “She has smelly feet! I’m just kidding. Please don’t put that in.”

"It's very exciting because it's something that we've been trying to get made for the last 15 years. And obviously my mom wrote it--ot that I'm biased or anything"

"John's an artist, very definitely. ‘Love is the Devil’ is one of my favorite films. I think it’s extraordinary. I worked with him on ‘The Jacket,’ and then again on ‘The Edge of Love,’ and I love working with him. I love his mind. It’s a weird place, but it’s a wonderful place. You don’t work with John to make a film like ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ you work for something very different, but it’s equally as exciting".

"My mom didn't write this thinking in me. When I was doing "The Jacket,” which was about 4 years ago, she came up to Glasgow just to hang out and she was writing it. And she said, I think I’m having a problem with this draft, can you give me notes, which she’d never actually done before, so I read it, and gave her some notes. But I said, if you get this up and running I’m going to play that part. And she went, oh yeah, fuck off. And it happened!"

Gurinder Chadha has admitted she did not think Keira Knightley's career would take off as quickly as it has after she cast her in Bend It Like Beckham. She said:

"I never imagined her getting so big, so fast but that's the business, you know it can happen - it can happen to anyone at anytime".

"She was only 16 when she came into my audition room for Bend It Like Beckham and I had seen about 25 girls that day and so when she came in I knew there was something special about her," she said.

"She did a great job on Beckham and every film she makes, she's getting better and better and it's great to see her flying so high."

Actress Keira Knightley has revealed that she is tired of portraying the role of a heroine and would now love to play a baddie.

The 22-year-old actress said that she is desperate to play a negative character but the offers she is getting are all nice parts.

“I’d love to play a baddie, absolutely, everyone wants to play a bad character - I just haven’t found one yet, Contactmusic quoted Knightley, as saying.

“They keep offering me nice parts. What’s the matter with them,” she added.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star has admitted that she would have no hassles playing a negative character in the film, as it would come naturally to her.

“I think everybody is (a bitch), aren’t they? I have my moody moments. Anything can set me off,” she said

Keira about her body issues (once again) "If I had been anorexic, there is no way I would have been able to do a lot of the action movies that I do. People wouldn't have hired me. And I was 18 when I first started to get attention in the press, I was 18! and the idea that an 18-year-old girl is not going to be in some way feeling awkward is ridiculous. I wouldn't say that I have body issues, but if you're going to ask me whether I'm completely, 100 per cent satisfied, of course I'm not. Nobody does.There is a culture at the moment that very much idealises youth and yet rips it apart at the same time, and if you're caught in the middle of it, it's very frightening. And it does take a minute or two to be able to go 'F*ck you all. I actually don't care. And I'm actually fine'".
